Today is the last day of the rally and on the schedule is a few different guided rides, a rally group photo in the middle of town and a ride through Bojangles Saloon!  I was bloody excited about that last part.  I can honestly say I've never ridden through a pub!

Waking up to another perfect day in the Alice was awesome.  The only issue is I packed for Alice to be hot as hell but in the last week the temperature has dropped from high 30's to high teens and low 20's!  In any case, it was off for another bacon and egg breaky at Dave and Lisa's before the thunder run.

It felt a little surreal waking up in Alice Springs.  Especially as right out of my window was the morning sun and a good view of the ranges.  We arranged last night that breaky would be at Dave and Lisa's so I got up and headed over for a feed.

After breaky we decided to go for a run to the local Harley

It was a very fresh morning in Coober Pedy, which I only realised once I walked outside of my underground motel room and immediately returned for a jacket!  Suitably clothed I headed for the kitchen and grabbed some cereal.  Eating breaky I was eagerly anticipating crossing the border into the Northern

Today I sprung out of bed and got ready for a bus tour around town.  Honestly, I had no idea what to expect other than being told it was awesome.  After a quick breaky it was off to the entrance of the motel to wait for the bus.  When the bus pulled up I was pretty impressed

It's only taken 4 days but I'm finally about to ride on roads untravelled.  I have wanted to ride up the centre since seeing the turn off on my trip to Perth back in '09.  Well, today was my day and the rain had cleared to reveal a perfect day.  I'm still struggling mentally

Leaving Broken Hill we had perfect blue sky, which was great to see.  It only took 5 minutes to hit the outside of town and straight away you were in the outback.  The scenery now was getting very remote.  Very few trees, just spindly little things and lots of rocks.  Interestingly there

Day 2 kicked off with an incredible sunrise and an overcast sky.  I was feeling great to be out of Newcastle and hoping to have another good day on the bike.

Shortly after a quick bit of breaky we were on the road heading for Cobar.  Along the way we saw plenty of goats and emus.  The baby goats are cute as hell; the

The morning was finally here.  The last couple months have been hell.  I'm feeling completely exhausted by constant feelings of being on the brink of breakdown.  Good thing the open road for a couple weeks is the perfect medicine to clear my head, finish the chapter and close the book.

The day was

This is such a pinnacle event on the HOG calendar.  It's almost our home away from home, you might say.  May of our members, including me, have been riding here for years and we are yet to have a bad time.  There's nothing better than an old country pub and this one is one of the best.

Day 1...
